Tea and herbs
Deep in the Vinschgau valley, the Kräuterrebellen (German for ‘Herb Rebels’) cultivate and harvest mountain herbs for their teas by hand at an elevation of 900 meters (2950 feet), each with its own eccentric name, such as Bergdoktor (Mountain Doctor), Ewiges Eis (Eternal Ice) and Sportlerin (Sportswoman). You can enjoy these special teas during your visit to tutti patschenggele, and even buy some to take home.
Then there is Schmiedthof in the Eisacktal valley. Situated at an elevation of 1400 metres (4590 feet), the farm grows and processes more than 80 different herbs and spices by hand. Their line of herbal salts and spice mixtures, called Herba Plose, is available at tutti patschenggele.
